Pastie baking has been a part of the fabric of Firwood United Methodist Church since its very beginning and it continues today.  Under the direction of Isabel Bannon, the "Pastie People" gather in the church basement on Friday and Saturday to slice, chop, weigh, mix, knead, roll, bake and bag over 400 plus delicious pasties.  This operation occurs five times a year and yields a sizable profit that is donated to the operating budget of the church.  In February, approximately 25 people came to help with this important ministry.  Thank you to all who give of the time and talents.
